At the occasion of the Carbon'09 World Carbon Conference being held in Europe, the European Carbon Association is pleased to announce the creation of the ECA Award*. 

As a celebration of hosting the Carbon'09 conference, the French Carbon Group (GFEC) is pleased to announce the creation of the GFEC Award*. 

The British Carbon Group will deliver the Brian Kelly Award*, as it does at the occasion of each World Conference on Carbon.

The three awardees for each of the awards above mentioned will be asked to present their awarded works as a plenary talk (30' total, including post-talk discussions) during an Award Session to be held on Thursday morning, June 18, 2009.
